There is one thing I love about the days getting shorter, and it’s pretty much the excuse to put my PJs on early and head to bed for a bit of Netflix with the sisters.
So now that fall has finally fallen upon us – see what I did there?! – what a better way than to spend the evening fighting for what we can watch next?
And in order to avoid the hair-pulling between the three of us, I went ahead and made a note of the 5 Netflix shows I am looking forward to this month.
Addams Family Values (1993)
Coming on 1st October.
A classic, plus we all know October is Halloween. So what a better way than to hit play for one of the best movies from our childhood?
Want to know a little secret? While I secretly wished to grow up like Morticia Addams, I can confirm I am most definitely more Uncle Fester, more than I’d like to admit. Whoops!
Emily in Paris (2020)
Season 1 – Coming on 2nd October
This is definitely your cheesy, binge-watching kind of thing if, like me, you were very much into Sex & The City – same creator here! – and miss it that much.
While we all know – but wish – Paris is not like this, I will enjoy daydreaming until we can all travel to the city of love again.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Season 1 – Coming on 9th October
I am not the kind of person to watch horror stuff, basically because I won’t be able to sleep at night. But – and there is always a but! – I really enjoyed The Haunting of Hill House, so much that I want to rewatch it soon.
And of course, this is now just my cup of tea. Having read what it is all about, I can tell you I am excited for it – probably more than I should be.
It’s spooky month after all.
Unsolved Mysteries (2020)
Volume 2 – Coming on 19th October
This one is a favourite of all 3 of us, we watched the first season back to back and each single mystery has kept us questioning so many things, so many details and so much sadness too.
We cannot wait for this to be back, and we hope this show helps some of these to be solved, somehow.
Coming on 21st October
We had watched the 1940’s version of this movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock – find the Wiki page here – and enjoyed that one quite a lot, so why not try this other version from the same novel by Daphne du Maurier now that Netflix decided to remake it?
This is my list for the 5 Netflix shows I am looking forward to this month, but if you are looking for something like a Halloween movie list, look no further: mine from last year is here, and it will be quite an enjoyable one too!
