I have a new-found love for lipsticks, and the ones I am going to show you here are my 5 favourite lipsticks right now. Plus a couple of bonus ones, because yes, I am extra.
I know, you might be thinking what am I even going to try right now, when the best thing we could do for ourselves and the rest of the world is wearing a mask, not a lipstick.
But at the same time…I like to play with my makeup every now and then, at the very least not to forget how to do my routine.
Classy, sassy and a little bit frantic is my style usually, especially when it comes to lipsticks: I love the Cupid’s bow so much, I always get mine a bit too strong on the eye, but aren’t you meant to do that when you wear a bright red anyway?!
MY 5 FAVOURITE LIPSTICKS, PLUS A BONUS 2
- Limecrime Velvetines Matte Liquid Lipstick in Red Velvet
This is possibly my number one choice whenever I can, it stays in place and it turns this beautiful matte colour on lips that I just adore, a must-try. Also, vegan and cruelty-free – so major brownie points.
- Beauty Pie Fantasticolour Sculpting Lipstick in Rebel Ruby
I have loved everything I got from Beauty Pie, and this is possibly the only way to show you: it’s my first-ever finished lipstick. Should say a lot!
- Lord & Berry 20100 Shiny Lipstick Crayon in Confess
A Birchbox find, this one was mostly in Fred’s purse due to how easy it is to apply and how subtle and delicate the colour is, so absolutely perfect for all of us who run on a no-makeup kind of day…every day?!
- Lipstick Queen Dating Game Lipstick in Mr Right
The splurge on this was real, but it’s such a pretty colour I did not mind too much – the packaging is great and feels very strong and durable, I just love it. Doesn’t dry up my lips, but doesn’t stay in place too long, which is sad but hey!
- NYX Slip Tease Full Colour Lip Lacquer in Urban Oasis
This was from one of those discount bins in Boots, for like maybe a couple of quids…and also my very first semi-nude?! I love how easy to apply it is, even if the applicator looks weird. Would buy it again, you think? Of course, I would.
- Glossier Play High Shine Vinylic Lip in Disco
While this was initially bought just because of how fun the applicator looked, it is still quite a great addition to your collection if you are looking for a buildable shade that keeps your lips soft and plump. Love it.
- Beauty Pie Futurelipstick Matte in To The Beet
My very first super dark colour, I didn’t think I could pull it off because of my fair skin but trust me when I say it’s just perfect, and I have worn it a lot more than I care to share.
