At the beginning of this pandemic, I thought it would be a good idea to start looking after myself and my body a lot more than I did before, so looked into vitamins to start with.
That’s when I stumbled upon YUMI, and this is how my YUMI journey started.
But let’s backtrack a second, and go in some sort of order. I have never been good at sticking to a routine, let alone taking vitamins. It’s bad of me, but at the same time, it’s that one thing I try to work on every single year.
And while I can initially succeed… Well, you know how the rest goes. A lot of us are guilty of this. Until this year. My friends, readers, everyone: I have been keeping up this habit since March 2020 and I couldn’t be any more proud of myself!
Have you seen my skincare for the winter? Find it here.
My secret, you ask? Well, as you might have noticed – I am a sweet tooth. I like chewing on stuff, and these YUMI Gummies are just perfect: two chewy gummies a day and I am sorted.

My YUMI journey & review
I initially started using them when I found their Gut Health Probiotic Gummies – I was looking for some help with my constantly irritated stomach, and since taking this I have struggled a lot less with it. And it’s as easy as chewing on my two gummies every morning.
When I first got them, they were not made as a vegan-friendly formula, but they have since changed this so everyone can enjoy these. They not only help improve your digestive system by promoting the creation of healthy gut bacteria, but they are also advised to people struggling with IBS as they ease most digestion issues.
After almost a year of being on these probiotics, I was approached by someone in their team to see if I was up for trying some other ones, and of course, I jumped with joy as the other vitamins I was taking were very much painful to swallow – I struggle, no matter the size! – as most of the ones I had tried were not coated, nor chewable.

The options with YUMI are endless.
So then the other vitamins I usually take are something to help with hair, skin and nails & something to help me with supporting my immune system and metabolism. Plus a good multivitamin, yet to switch to any other, but that’s a story for a different day. Back to my YUMI journey.
That’s when YUMI’s Hair – Skin – Nails came into my life. My previous biotin pill was tiny, yes, but was also a struggle to swallow. I said it before, no matter the size, unless it’s coated I cannot put it down. That goes the same for stuff like paracetamol etc.
Since using biotin, my nails are way stronger, they don’t peel, my hair is a lot thicker and my skin has cleared quite a lot from all the acne from my teenage years. A revolution, if you ask me. Again, this formula is vegan and with two gummies a day, you are fully sorted.

The start of my YUMI journey, but not an end in sight.
Then there was a new addition to the bits I was taking care of, and since I have decided to start exercising properly from home at the beginning of this year, I realised I needed something to help with my constant fatigue and that was going to support not only my immune system but also my now speeding metabolism.
I am sure we have all read about the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar, so I am going to refrain from repeating said information. These gummies right here, the YUMI Lean & Detox Gummies are the absolute bomb.
They do not taste terrifying as if we were going to chuck down a shot of apple cider vinegar – with an even alien-lookalike of a mother included! – but like apples, a very subtle hint to the vinegar and again, very much vegan.
Because I loved them so much – and even managed to get Cristina on board with taking them regularly! – the guys at YUMI have offered a discount code for our readers: just pop GRUMPYOLIVE20 when checking out, and you’ll get 20% off your total. This works for both new and existing customers alike!
And once again, thank you to the YUMI team for getting us addicted to their super gummies!
I haven’t heard of Yumi before, but I really want to try the Hair, Skin & Nails gummies now! It’s great that they made them vegan so I can try them out!
I’ve not heard of Yumi before but these gummies sound like something that’ll really help me xx
Thank you Della x

Thank you Hayley! x
Especially my nails could really use some extra love, so this might do the trick! I’d never heard of this brand, so who knows ?
Thank you for reading this Lisa x
This is really interesting. I’ve never heard of YUMI before but its great that you’ve been getting on so well with them. I’m definitely going to have more of an in depth look at their range.
Thank you Kelly!
Oh this is interesting! Do you happen to know if they are also gluten free? I have Crohns Disease, so I have a lot of gut issues. I would definitely be interested in trying these out. Thanks for the recommendation!
Hey Ellie, I just checked your website and I will send a quick email over to you just in case you won’t read this, but all the ones in this article are gluten free. I will send you a link now x

Thank you Loniesha – let me know if you try them x
To be honest I am a little suspicious of this type of products if you really like them… Happy to know they are vegan. Thanks for sharing.
I’m sorry you feel suspicious about this article, there is nothing more than my actual opinions on a product I have tried and loved before. Thank you for taking the time to read this anyway x
As someone who takes her Vitamin D3 in gummy form, I love the idea of gummies! While I don’t have the problem you do with taking pills, I find the some tablets dissolve in an awful taste before you can even grab the glass of water to take it. Thanks for sharing the various other products available in gummy form!
Oh i hate when a pill starts to melt and you are unable to swallow it without tasting the awful chemicals!!
I’m glad these are vegan as that means I can use them if I ever need to change the chewy multi-vitamins I currently use. I usually don’t stick with taking these kinds of things either but this time I am making a point of being consistent. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you Molly – I am glad I could be of help x
These sound like a great idea! I get tummy problems quite often so I’m always looking for ways to manage that. I love that they’re chewable, too! So many supplements are awkward to take, so that’s definitely a bonus.
Hey Kate – I have struggled with tummy issues as well and their probiotics have been a saving grace! Let me know if you try them x
I have always wanted to try apple cider vinegar, but the description of the taste has always put me off. Plus the colour isn’t great either, haha! But these gummies sound like a great way to get the right vitamins without the bad taste. Thanks for sharing!
I know, the taste description of ACV it’s kinda terrifying! x
These sound great! I could definitely use the hair, skin and nails ones as I’m trying to grow my nails and my skin is bloody awful at the moment too. I much prefer a gummie to a pill!
it’s just easier to deal with right?! x
Thanks for the recommendation! I am so terrible at taking vitamins. Maybe I should try these because they don’t sound half bad. 🙂
I actually look forward taking these, so it might help! x
I love taking gummies like these. They sound so great. Thanks so much for sharing about them!
Thank you for reading Charity x
Those gummy vitamins look delicious. I take vitamins..the pill kind haha, they can be a hassle to take but I think I’m just getting used to them. I’ve tried gummy vitamins before but they tend to taste really nice and it makes me want to have more than the 2 ? but I don’t. Great review! ?
I am glad you’re getting used to the pills, my mouth did not like it at all! But yeah, that might be an issue lol x
An interesting journey, A great way to take vitamins and fun. This is my first time reading about this. Thank you for sharing it!
Thank you Fransic X
These all sound great – you’ve actually reminded me to pick up some probiotics on my next food shop! They make a massive difference to how healthy I feel 🙂 (Side note: love the photography!) xx

Well done in sticking with them since March! I’m the same with starting good habits and not sticking to them! I’m quite interested in the biotin to see if it’ll help clear my skin a bit, they sound promising! I’m the same as you and can’t swallow tablets so I totally understand the appeal to a gummy! Haha!
Thank you Nicci – let me know if you try them x
This is so interesting – I’d heard of the apple cider vinegar ones but not the hair/skin/nails one. I sometimes take a hair/skin/nails supplement but the shots taste quite horrible so these sound like a much nicer (and more effective) way to go – thank you for sharing your journey! x
These taste quite nice so hopefully they should help? Thank you for reading Lisa x
Nice product review! I take vitamins all the time but never think about take gummies. I’ll have to try these!

I love a good apple cider vinegar gummy! I just can’t do shots, especially with the smell alone. I might have to try out the hair, skin, and nails gummies. I’ve been debating on if I want to try some out. Thanks for the review!
Thank you so much Deandra – let me know if you try them x
