Have I ever mentioned my love for sleep?
I think of sleep as the most underrated cure to every single thing going wrong in my life. Headache? Go for a nap. Feeling sad? Take a nap. Lost your job and have absolutely no clue about what you might want to do? Sleep on it.
The secret to my semi-happy life? Sleeping, in any form or shape. And while it seems like this is my forever-favourite activity ever, I do struggle with it a lot more than I care to admit, because I am a nutter and I overthink every single thing from, like, the 1900s up to now in a millisecond.

So, what do you need to do for a good night sleep?
I wish the whole sleeping thing was sometimes easier, and I can pinpoint where it goes wrong quite easily with me and my colorful mind: distractions.
No, I won’t leave my phone outside the bedroom, there is no fat chance you can ask me to stop using it at least a couple of hours before bed time.
First of all, I do not have a set time for bedtime, and I also like my routine of a bit of cheeky TikTok videos before I turn off the lights: it seems like laughing my ass off helps me drift away.
Secondly, my nighttime ritual is quite an extensive one and could put to bed even the worst sleepers known to man: starting with getting into comfy PJs, to be followed by skincare and a few sprays of my favorite sleeping aid from ThisWorks, the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. Not only for me, of course, but it also helps both Fred and Tj, and it’s safe for pets so we are both very happy Monsieur le chat can enjoy his nighttime ritual as much as we do.
Just a few sprays on my pillow, on Fred’s pillow and on Tj’s favourite blanket, and we are all out for the count within half an hour. While it might not always works, I found it such a nice little bit of routine to just go around the bedroom and spray, while monsieur looks at me with love in his eyes!
I also found it very helpful when my dear old friend migraine comes to town for a visit – this just works like a charm: puts me to sleep within minutes of my face hitting the pillow, which is always a great idea in my opinion.
Do you love sleeping as much as I do? Do you struggle with sleep? Have you got any secrets that you would like to share? Put them down in the comments and help a friend in need!
I really struggle with my sleep especially with all my health things going on at the moment. I think this is the stuff that my uncle recommended as he uses it and says it works so well. Thank you for sharing your experience also.
