The Ultimate Coffee Christmas Guide

November 24, 2020Coffee, Seasonal
+3

Or what to get your coffee freaks family members this Christmas.

Come on, we all have that one family member who is obsessed with coffee and loves all the new coffees and gadgets in town. And me being one of those coffee freaks, I obviously had to put together the ultimate coffee guide for this Christmas.

Now, I am trying to keep it as small business as possible. I love all my little coffee roasters, so I will try to include as many as possible.

Okay, without further ado, let’s start!

Coffee Christmas Gift Guide

  1. Opal One Capsule Brewer, by Colonna Coffee Roasters,  from £100
Let’s start with machinery. We are, yet again, stuck into a lockdown that we have no idea when it will finish. And some of us don’t live that close to a coffee shop, but still need their flat white to get on with the work load – or just survive the day.  Well the team at Colonna Coffee has got you sorted. Maxwell and team have developed a capsule machine that will make Nespresso crawl in a corner and cry. The Opal One is a fine looking piece of equipment, that will brew your capsules at very high standards.
  2. Wilfa Classic Brewer, from Best Coffee, £149.
The Wilfa is a great automatic brewer: it’s easy to use, will brew great coffee and can brew up to 10 cups of coffee. (Imaging how easy Christmas morning coffees will be this year). The hot plate will keep you coffee hot for 40 minutes, and it has a variety of smart features, including a cleaning indicator.
  3. The Gentleman Barista Christmas Bundle, from £32
The peeps at Gentleman Barista this year have outdone themselves and launched a series of bundle, where you can choose your preferred brewing method. The bundles include the brewing equipment (and some accessories) as well as a bag of whole beans. All you need is a coffee grinder!
  4. Sepia Set, by Kinto Europe, from £14.50
Kinto is a Japanese brand that specialises in home wear. They products are so elegant that is no wonder why most coffee shops will have their products to serve your coffees to you. The Sepia set stole our hearts as soon as we had seen it!
  5. KASUYA Mini Drip Kettle, by Hario, from £35
For those of us that prefer hand brewing, this elegant mini dripper is the perfect stocking filler.
  6. The Christmas Blend, by Origin Coffee Roasters, £10.
    Origin Coffee this year is bring to us for the first time a Christmas treat. As the name of the blend suggest, it screams Christmas in each cup of coffee you will drink. Expect notes of Figs, Christmas Pudding and Chocolate. {no longer available}
  7. Peak Water, by Colonna Coffee Roasters, from £49
When you talk water for coffee, you talk Maxwell. And it was obvious that he would launch a water filter jug for home brewing. The jug allows you to set your filter to the right ppm, so that you can ensure you have premium water for brewing at all the time. The perfect gift for a coffee lover!
  8. SCS Coffee Cannister, by Kinto, £24.50
If you are like me, that you have to have a perfectly tidy cupboard, this Coffee Cannister is perfect for you. It has a silicone seal, to prevent oxygen coming in, so your beans can sleep safe and sound. And obviously being Kinto, it just looks super elegant.
  9. Ceramic V60s Brewers, by Hario, from £30
  10. Acaia Pearl, by Acaia, from £145
Acaia has been the leading company for precision scales for coffee professionals. The reason is their durability, precision and quality. It comes with different modes, which makes it perfect for brewing – and also baking.

The items on this post are subject to availability and all prices are correct at the time of publication. All prices shown in this post are also subject to delivery charges – please check out the item you intend to purchase for more details on delivery costs.

About Federica

Fred is the mastermind for all things design of this blog, and around the web, she can be found on Not a Skilful Sailor and dotting.away. She is the person that has pushed Simona after she lost my job to give this blog thing a shot again, and subsequently found herself tangled in it, one way or another.

She is the extrovert of the group, the person who’s struggling the most with the being home situation. She thrives around people, but was not like this growing up, let us tell you that. She is the coffee guru of the family, loves our cat TJ more than Cristina and Simona (doesn’t even try to hide it a bit), and has got a new-found love for baking thanks to lockdown.
