Guys, you cannot believe if I told you I was fidgeting to write this post. I am not sure why it took me so long writing this.
I mean, where do I even start?
New York City has stolen my heart the moment we stepped on the cab and wandered through the city in our stay the first time. It was the first city that we visited in the US. Anyway, every time we went back, it kept having that sparkle of magic that the city gives you as you walk through the concrete jungle.

When we visit, we normally stay in Nolita (and as close as possible to Milkbar?). Nolita is a vibrant part of SoHo, in Lower Manhattan. If I had to compare it to a London quarter it would be something like Shoreditch. It is populated by mainly younger people, between 20s and 30s. Full of hip cafes and restaurants, it is the spot to stay in.
Plus is also merging with Little Italy, where you can find all the most delicious Italian foods! I mean, WIN WIN WIN here.
We have a few favourites that we visit all the time, like Prince St Pizza, Milk Bar Nolita and Ruby’s Cafe to name a few. Plus, let me not get started on Wholefoods or Trader’s Joe!
High Line Views Mulberry St The Guggenheim Museum Nolita Buildings Flat Iron Square NYC Library Brooklyn Brooklyn NoHo Union Square View World Trade Center NYU Milkbar Nolita Central Park Pitches
New York City is also really easy to walk around.
The road system in major cities in the US – correct me if I am wrong – is based on a grid system. It means that, unlike London, the streets are straight and it’s pretty impossible to get lost.
So from Nolita, you can walk straight up and you will easily end up in Union Square where you can admire the infamous Flat Iron Building.
From there you can walk all the way up to the Empire State Building and a little further up to Central Park.

I am not gonna list ALL the things we have visited or done, cos I will need way more than one post.
However, don’t forget to visit Brooklyn while you are there. It is so beautiful and so full of life. Honestly my second favourite part of New York after NoHo.
I honestly cannot wait to be able to fly again and be in the city of dreams again!

I would LOVE to visit New York City! I have to admit I have been 3 times but only on stopovers so haven’t actually ever left JFK airport so this is top of my travel list when restrictions start lifting.
I absolutely LOVE NYC! I haven’t been in so long due to Covid-19, however once quarantine is over I definitely owe her a visit! Another great place to go when you visit is Serendipity which sells frozen hot chocolates :p
Not that I had any doubts, but New York looks absolutely incredible! I’m desperate to visit the city one day, which hopefully becomes a possibility soon
I absolutely loved scrolling through this post! New York is right at the top of my travel list, so seeing POV photos in blog posts is always fun. Love the shot of Mulberry St, looks amazing! 🙂

New York looks amazing! I would LOVE to go one day. From these photos it looks like you went everywhere! P.S. – love the Easter-themed blog header you’ve got right now!
Ive been to New York City once before but it was only for a day. I was on a trip with my friend who was visiting her family in Pennsylvania. It was so much fun to drive in for the day, but obviously not enough time to see everything then! I would love to go back some day!
I feel the same way about New York, fell in love the second I got there and it never dies whenever I return. It’s such an incredible city with so much to do, each time I’ve been has been like a totally different trip x

Same for us!
I’ve never been to NYC, I’ve never been a huge city person (despite living just outside of London) and NYC always seemed really overwhelming and scary to me! But I love your photos and it looks and sounds like a great experience!
Thank you Jenny! I am a country girl at heart, so I think I may get tired of it after a while, just like with London!
I really want to visit someday! Last year I got a view from the airport window but because of Covid that was all 🙁 So I am very excited to return one day <3 I feel like I love it already and I haven't even explored it yet! I had planned a week in Brooklyn while I was going to be there, there is so much to NYC, so many places to see and so much culture <3 I love the photos!
Thank you Zoe! Hopefully soon!!
I’ve never been in New York before (not in the US even), but this looks like my kind of city! The photo’s are gorgeous anyways. Love to go!

Thank you!
Even though I live about 7 hours from New York, I’ve only driven through once in my life. I’ve never really visited – but I hope to eventually! I’ve been up and down the East Coast a million times, but just never carved out time to visit NYC. It’s definitely on my bucket list though!
Ohh! Where do you live? Xx
Oh goodness, your post has reminded me that it’s been 15 years almost to the day since I went to NYC! Not a great deal of exploring was done as it was a school art trip but the galleries were great and I LOVED the shopping!!
Ahah yes, the shopping was good! Xx
NYC is really fun to visit. It’s easier to navigate than other American cities. Great post! This makes us want to travel ASAP.
Indeed! Xx

Ahaha I am sure living there is a little different, like any city! I am still a country girl at heart:)
There are so many movies and TV shows shot in New York that just made me fall in love with it. Even songs. They just can’t stop talking about New York. These pictures are great! Long walks, towering buildings, food, people — everything. I cannot wait for the day to visit. Thank you for sharing!
