Yes, the almighty 30s are creeping upon me.
“Knock, knock.” “Who’s there?” “Your 30s, mate.”
Oh, yes guys. My 30th birthday is literally a week away. And while I wish I was in a skiing resort in Switzerland or somewhere exotic and hot, instead I am shielding for the 57783561590 time in the last 12 months. Thanks to Bojo, who let people gather for Christmas.
Anyway, Politics aside. IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! And as you have read before the new year, I have big plans for this year.
But we can’t avoid/deny/ignore the fact that we are in the midst of a global pandemic. I know you are probably tired of hearing about it, trust me I am too. However, it’s with us and we have to get along with it for the foreseeable.
So, what is the difference in celebrating such a milestone of my life?
Well all of it. First of all, there’s no big party. Not that I am a fan of one, or that I was such a party goer before. There would have been a few people I would have loved to spend the day or share a dinner with.
Secondly, no big trip like those other influencers seems to be able to do in the midst of all this. Yep, it’s dear old rainy London for me. And because we are in lockdown again, I can’t even say ‘Let’s go to Cornwall!‘. Nope, not happening.
I am not sad about it. I mean, I sometimes think it’s a complete miracle I got this far in life. But hey, I am seeing the silver lining.
We are currently all well and healthy. We are together and can rely on each other. And that’s what’s important. The big party can wait for my 40s.
Any whos, here are a few things I had my eyes on, if anyone if wondering ?
These beautiful Chelsea Boots, from Doc Martens.
This Birthday Gift Set from my favourite MilkBar..if they only could be in London ?
Or this beautiful planner from Papersmith. Because there’s never enough planners.
