Ingredients
  

  • 400 g Golden Delicious apples chopped
  • 30 g vegan butter
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon ground
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Peel the apples (optional) and cut them into even-sized chunks for consistent cooking.

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the vegan butter.
    30 g vegan butter
  • Add the apple chunks to the skillet and stir to coat them in the melted butter.
  • Cook the apples for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they soften and start to turn golden.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar and ground cinnamon over the apples.
    100 g brown sugar, 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • Stir well to coat the apple chunks evenly in the sugar and spice mixture.
  • Continue cooking for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, as the sugar melts and forms a sticky caramel sauce.
  • Add the vanilla extract just before removing the skillet from the heat.
    1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Stir gently to combine and evenly distribute the vanilla.
  • Let the caramelized apples cool slightly before serving.
  • Enjoy warm on their own or as a topping for pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, or dairy-free ice cream.
