Ingredients

  • 1 roll crescent dough
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar

Instructions

  • Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean surface.
  • If it’s pre-cut into triangles, great! If not, slice it into 8 equal triangles to form the classic croissant shape.
  • Starting from the wider base of each triangle, gently roll the dough toward the tip to create that classic croissant shape.
  • Place the croissants seam-side down so they hold their shape while baking.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water.
  • Use a pastry brush to lightly coat the tops of each croissant with the egg wash.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 180°C for a couple of minutes.
  • Place the croissants in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between them.
  • Air fry for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and fluffy.
  • Once golden brown and flaky, remove the croissants from the air fryer.
  • While they’re still warm, sprinkle a little caster sugar over the top for a touch of sweetness.
  • Let them cool slightly before serving (if you can wait that long).
  • Enjoy them as is, with jam, or get fancy and drizzle with melted chocolate for extra indulgence.
