Ingredients

Strawberry simple syrup

  • cup water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup sliced strawberries

Strawberry milk tea

  • ¼ cup strawberry syrup
  • 2 green tea bags
  • cup water
  • cup milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • ¼ cup black tapioca pearls

Instructions

  • Start by preparing your strawberry simple syrup. In a saucepan, over medium heat, bring to a boil the strawberries, sugar and water. Mash the strawberries with a fork and keep them on the stove for 4-5 minutes. When ready, strain the syrup and pour it into an airtight container.
  • Cook your tapioca pearls following the instructions on the packet.
  • In the meantime, steep two green tea bags in 2/3 of a cup of water for three minutes. When you are done, discard the bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
  • In a tall glass, add the cooked tapioca pearls, the ice and the cooled tea. After that, add the syrup and the milk on top.
  • Place a wide straw in your glass and use any fresh strawberries for garnish. Mix your drink and enjoy this refreshing strawberry milk tea!

Notes

  • You can keep the strawberry simple syrup for up to two weeks in an airtight container in the fridge. It's perfect for cocktails and yoghurt.
  • Depending on the size of your glass, you might need to add more or keep the same amount of milk.
