Ingredients
  

For the simple syrup

  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 cup basil leaves

For the cucumber basil mocktail

  • 120 ml basil simple syrup
  • 90 ml sparkling water
  • 60 ml lime juice
  • cucumber slices
  • ice
  • basil leaves

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the simple syrup by placing the water, sugar and basil leaves in a pot and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Pass through a fine sieve and set aside to cool down completely.
  • Once the basil simple syrup is ready, it's time to prepare your mocktail: juice the limes and set aside.
  • Prepare two glasses with a slice of cucumber each, fill them with ice then share the lime juice among the two glasses.
  • Do the same with the basil simple syrup and combine, then top up with some sparkling water and garnish with some basil leaves.
  • Serve immediately.
