Delicious Lavender Mocktail

This lavender mocktail is a refreshing and elegant non-alcoholic beverage that combines the delicate floral notes of lavender with the zesty brightness of fresh lemon.

Equipment

  • 1500ml Water Jug with Removable Lid
  • Culinary Lavender
  • Elegant Tumblers
  • Ice Cube Tray
  • Saucepan
  • Strainer

Ingredients
  

For the lavender syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp dried lavender

For the mocktail

  • lavender syrup to taste
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup cold water
  • ice
  • lemon slices and lemon peel swirl to garnish
  • fresh lavender or dried lavender buds to garnish

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the lavender syrup by placing all ingredients in a pot and combining over medium heat until all the sugar has dissolved.
  • Let the syrup simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and let is sit to cool for 30 minutes before straining using a fine mesh strainer. 
  • Decant in a jar with a lid and let it come to room temperature.
  • To mix your mocktail, add the water, freshly squeezed lemon juice and lavender syrup to a jug.
  • Fill two glasses with ice and a couple of slices of lemon, then fill them with the mocktail mix.
  • Garnish with some extra lavender and a lemon peel swirl and you're ready to serve!

Notes

The lavender syrup will last in the fridge for up to 8 weeks if placed in an airtight container.
