3-Ingredient Homemade Korean Strawberry Milk recipe
This korean strawberry milk recipe was first published on July 12, 2023.
This Korean strawberry milk recipe will become your next obsession and not only this summer, rest assured! If you have ever watched any Korean shows or visited the country, you might know how popular this drink is in Korean cafes and if you want to try it yourself at home, this recipe will help you make a delicious drink with real strawberries.
I have had a chocolate milk obsession since I was a kid, hence the chocolate milk tea, and after watching anime and reading mangas, the obsession only fuelled. And even spread to other ones like strawberry milk, boba tea and banana milk. When I started watching Kdramas and Korean shows and started learning Korean, I knew I had to try a homemade version of this tasty beverage.
This is the perfect drink for anyone that loves fresh strawberry flavour, a drink that can be enjoyed by everyone and a super simple recipe to make! Some recipes call for homemade strawberry syrup which gets heated up, but I preferred to just use a blender and make the syrup like that, keeping the chunks of strawberries for a chunkier texture.
If you loved our strawberry bubble tea or boba smoothie, or if you are in the market for a way to bring your favorite milk to another level, this Korean strawberry milk recipe is the one for you!

What are strawberries? Are they good for you?
This delicious fruit is not actually a regular fruit as you would consider! Strawberries are aggregate fruits, which means that the fleshy part doesn’t come from the ovaries but from the receptacles that hold the ovaries. The small seeds on the flesh, called achene, are the ovaries of the strawberries, which contain seeds.
These aggregate fruits are great as:
- a source of vitamin C and manganese;
- contain potassium and folate;
- rich in antioxidants and plant compounds;
- benefits for heart health and blood sugar control;
- can help improve vascular function;
- can help reduce inflammation and prevent cancer. (Healthline)
What ingredients do I need for this homemade Korean strawberry milk?
This easy recipe for this popular drink only requires 3 ingredients! What else can you ask for? All you will need is fresh strawberries, sugar and milk. Plus ice cubes if you would like this drink fresher, but it’s delicious even without.

Can I substitute anything Korean-style strawberry milk recipe?
Even if this recipe requires only three ingredients, you can actually find substitutes for everything. You can use frozen strawberries instead of fresh strawberries. As they will be put in a blender it won’t affect the taste. For the amount of sugar that this recipe requires, you can substitute it for stevia or brown sugar or maple syrup.
This recipe calls for whole milk, but you can use any milk of your choice. If you go for plant-based milk, anything like almond milk, soy milk, oat milk, coconut milk or cashew milk can work well in this recipe, which would make it a delicious vegan Korean strawberry milk. And the best part is that it’s great both at room temperature or iced!
What equipment do I need for this strawberry recipe?
All you will need for this homemade strawberry milk are a blender and a serving glass, or a glass bottle, depending on your preferences. Nothing else!
How healthy is strawberry milk?
Even though this recipe is homemade and overall healthier than store-bought strawberry milk and only requires three simple ingredients, there’s still sugar from the strawberries and from the sweetener itself in this recipe.
But you also have to consider that it’s full of vitamins and minerals coming both from the fruit and the milk itself. This popular beverage can be considered healthy, although you still need to consume it in moderation as with everything.

How is strawberry milk made?
This sweet strawberry milk recipe requires very simple steps. You will start off this Korean strawberry milk recipe by washing and chopping your strawberries. Then in a blender, blend one and a half cups of strawberries for ten seconds. Then add the sugar in and blend again for ten seconds, your puree will still have some chunks in it.
